crackpot

Standard

I am as excited as a kid on the first day of school (or the last day for that matter)!

While I was living in Des Moines I was making pottery under the alias crackpots (there was another crackpot too, Carla). I loved it because I’ve never considered myself a creative person but I was able to make stuff that might be considered a form of art AND I can use it.

So when we moved to Chicago I moved away from my sweet studio set up and started classes that absorbed most of my free time. We’ve been here about a year now and I’ve been checking out studios here for about just as long. Well long story short I got Josh to take guitar lessons and thought that gave me a license to pick the pottery back up. YAY! So I start tomorrow and I’m really hoping it’s like riding a bike and I can make 5 foot tall vases with my first ball of clay. not likely. Either way I’m grateful for the chance to pick it up again and hopefully I’ll have plenty of new art to use soon.

This is the favorite thing I've made I still don't have a great name for it.
